Danbolig
Cooperative real estate business took a leap into the digital future with centralised development.
Despite massive migration towards online search for new homes, being a real estate agent is still a very local business – especially in relation to the home owners putting their homes for sale. Apart from the personal interaction between home owner and the real estate agent however most of the work was subject to benefits of scale and much could be digitised and standardised.
In order to address this challenge in due time, Danbolig wanted to offer all members more digital services and an opportunity to let the central organisation handle an increasing number administrative and brand related tasks. As a cooperative, such a development would have to be financed by the members.
The only sustainable way forward was a member supported change in the contributions model. The new model was engineered to ensued that the additional cost carried by the larger members would be outweighed be the increasing benefit of being an attractive partner to many smaller agents in all corners of the country.
